About the Firm

Risso I.P. is a law practice based in Los Angeles that helps clients nationwide with matters relating to intellectual property, company formation, and contract preparation. Our Principal — Marcus Risso, BS, MBA, JD

Mr. Risso advises senior executives, investors, and entrepreneurs in both business transactions and matters of intellectual property law. He has worked with clients in the fields of software, mechanical, electrical, materials, and biosensor technologies. In addition, he has experience advising corporations and other business entities on matters of entity selection and formation, intellectual property strategy, licensing, contract preparation, and related topics.

Mr. Risso received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. Following his graduation, he attended the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy to gain firsthand business experience from seasoned entrepreneurs. Furthering his business and legal analytical skills, he attended a joint JD/MBA program at Pepperdine University, where he received both his Master's in Business Administration and his Juris Doctor.

Mr. Risso is admitted to practice law in California, the United States District Courts, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the State Bar of California and various bar associations. Mr. Risso has been a guest lecturer at Loyola Marymount University and the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy.
